I do not have certificates, but I have had a jack russel for 12 years and now we have a cairn terrier that we rescued from the puppy mill.
Jack Russel died at the age of 17, towards the end of which she needed daily medication and needed much more care. It was quite a challenge to take care of a senior, but it's so great to see them happy at any age. The last 2-3 years she started to go blind and deaf, so we put night lights everywhere in the apartment so she could find her food and water without bumping into anything.
The cairn terrier, there I can write a hole book. Saved him when he was 2 years old, now he's 7. He did not know anything, he did not know what it was like to be a dog.So we had to teach him everything, walk or line up daily, knew nothing, not even a cat or a cow. Even now he still learns new things and such.
We love hiking, that's why we have terriers. Jack Russel made long walks until his 15th. Our cairn terrier is used to walking easily 3 to 4 hours a day, distributed throughout the day. 2 or 3 times a week, depending on the time we have we do walks of 12 to 18 km. If you have a dog that has to walk a lot, we love it and so does our dog :)
We live close to the kind of canal where it is easy to make longer walks or a little short.
We would like to have a second dog again, but it's soon after our jack russel, so we want to help people with their dogs. And then our little cairn terrier has a friend for a walk;
For housevisit we can do bigger dogs. But we prefer small ones for walks and to keep at our house.
I do not have any certificates but I have a big heart for animals and would like to help people who are short or do not have enough time for their pets.
