Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with an Australian Shepherd who sadly passed away last year. He shaped my love for dogs and taught me a lot about understanding and caring for them. Especially in his later years, he needed regular medication, which gave me valuable experience caring for older and sick animals.

For me, a combination of lots of affection and clear, consistent guidance is important so that animals feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

I already have plenty of practical experience with dog sitting. I currently regularly look after three dogs belonging to the same owner and take them for walks. I also care for other dogs and have therefore gotten to know many different personalities and needs. Looking after multiple dogs at once is no problem for me, as long as they come from the same household or get along well. I have also walked up to four dogs at the same time.

I adapt the length of walks to each individual dog. They usually last around 1–1.5 hours, but can of course be shorter for older or sick animals. At the same time, I’m also happy to spend several hours outdoors, for example on longer walks or hikes of 3–4 hours.

I’m comfortable administering medication and also have experience from working at a hedgehog rescue centre, where I regularly cared for animals, administered medication, and worked closely with veterinarians.

I’m a biologist and have recently moved to Linköping, Sweden, where I started my Master’s degree in Animal Behaviour. Alongside my studies, I would love to continue spending time with animals and gaining more experience caring for them. Besides dogs, I also have experience with other animals and have been riding horses for many years.

I have a driving licence, but unfortunately don’t have a car here in Sweden. This means that I’m mainly available for pets and homes that are within a reasonable cycling distance from me, or that are easily accessible by public transport.

The wellbeing, safety, and happiness of every animal I care for are always my top priorities.
